"Everyone wants heaven.
Eternity in the clouds, among gods and angels
All you need is a few good deeds
Right?
But Heaven seems like it has an awful lot of rules
No sinning
That’s hard
Repent for any sins
What if I don’t want to?
What if I’m not sorry?
Does that make me a bad person?
Will I go to hell?
Because Hell is where the sinners go
The Hitlers of the world
The ones who do heinous things
Like mass killings
And eating pork
Wearing mixed fabrics
And kissing people of the same gender
Aren’t we all sinners then?
Even those of us who have never hurt another human being?
The people who are faithful
and kind
and compassionate
Do they go to Hell too, for illogical “sins” as they were viewed thousands of years ago?
Do outdated books and expired beliefs
really judge the members of our modern society?
Does Heaven really demand so much?
If that’s how it is
If Heaven and Hell are as black and white as they’re said to be
Maybe I don’t want Heaven
So, yeah, I’m going to Hell
And I’m going to enjoy the ride down."
